Description
In the heart of one of the most beautiful valleys in Wales, these stone cottages stand alongside the ruins of 12th century Talley Abbey, and are set in 30 acres of unspoilt pastureland. This is a haven for wildlife – red kites, buzzards and other rare bird species are often seen, and an otters' hide belonging to the RSPB is tucked away in the grounds. Two lakes, one of which can be fished by arrangement, add to the beauty of this lovely corner of Wales. Each cottage is beamed throughout and all retain a host of original features. Wood burning stoves, open fireplaces and some antique furnishings are complimented by modern day facilities, all combining perfectly to provide spacious, well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Abbey Cottages are ideally situated for exploring the many delights of the area – the Dolaucothi goldmines, Dan-Yr-Ogof caves, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, and Gwili Steam Railway Park are all within easy reach. Llandeilo (7 miles) offers a choice of shops, restaurants and inns. Pub (3 miles) at Llansawel.

Two bedrooms. A charming and very comfortable cottage. Open plan sitting/dining room with open fire and fitted kitchen area. First floor: Double bedroom. Twin bedded room. Bathroom/WC (shower over bath).

Reviews
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbey Cottages! The area is amazing and well away from the buzz of normal life. There are wonderful walks close by... great for dog owners!
The cottage is nicely furnished and the owners made it even more inviting and comfortable by adding small things you normally don't get in a holiday cottage! It's just lovely to come back after a good walk in the Brecon Beacons and to settle down in front of the fireplace with a good book or go for some otter spotting in the close by lakes!
We are looking forward to our next visit there!

Lovely location, cosy accommodation with log fire, doggie friendly with superb walks. Will do this again.
